Bathurst Country Affair 2017

The 6th Bathurst Country Affair takes place from 17h00 on Friday 4th August, with a night market, and continues until Sunday afternoon (6th August).
This year sees many new events and additions, including the Beard, Brawn and Beer Competition which takes place at The Ploughman. The very popular Pineapple Throwing Compo takes place at The Big Pineapple and this year we expect huge crowds again.
Another new addition to the programme is the Wood Fired Mystery Basket Cook-off which sees 6 top regional chefs challenging each other, creating outstanding dishes over a fire. This takes place in the Fire Pool Garden at The Pig. Charl Leslie of Algoa FM, our sponsor, will once again be a challenger.
The Pink Lady Milkshake Parlour is home to a great children’s playground this year featuring a huge slide and so so much more. The Bokdrol Competition also takes place here.
The Map and Programme have been uploaded onto the Bathurst Country Affair website for visitors to peruse and decide which events they would like to enter.
The Village Green is the main hub for outstanding food, wine, craft beer and other tastings and fabulous food will be available from various hand picked exhibitors.
Musos are invited to plug into the PA system at the buskers stage and entertain our visitors as they dine in the al fresco area.
All the pubs and restaurants are open and live music and various entertainment is on offer all over the village all week end, including the acclaimed one woman show “Living it up at the Heartbreak Cafe” which sees Corinne Willoughby delivering two performances.
Beer gardens, wine, gin, whisky and cognac tastings are on offer too all week end.
This is truly a unique and quirky event and the premier event of the Sunshine Coast.
Visitors should ensure they grab a programme and map as soon as they land in the village!
