3rd Annual Music School of the Future Conference

Go Back

Date: Friday, 31st July 2020 to Sunday, 2nd August 2020

Time: See Programme

The Kingswood College Music School will be hosting its third “Music School of the Future Conference” from 31 July – 2 August 2020.

This Conference looks for the involvement of energetic and original thinkers and practitioners in Music Education: those who have a vision of the potential for development, in tune with new challenges of our time. We encourage anyone who is interested/cares about Music Education to attend.

A Conference is about dynamic presenters but also an important platform for people to confer, to motivate discussion and debate. Music teachers should not be content with maintaining and surviving. They should want to try new things or respond creatively to present-day challenges.

Various music related topics will be covered including:
-Choral music
- Composing and arranging especially for children
- Group teaching
- Sight-reading
- Orff-Schulwerk and Kodaly methodology
- Entrepreneurship
- Building Musical Knowledge
- Music and Community
- Globalization and the sustainability of music tuition

The Conference will commence on Friday 31 July at 12h00 and will close on Sunday 2 August at 10h00.
