The Albany Museum is celebrating our local history.

From the 14th to 18th March, 2016 a talk on the the History Department/Museum will be given each day in the Bowker library followed by a short guided tour of a different collection.

Our painting collection includes works by Thomas Baines, Frederick I’Ons, Mary Elizabeth Barber and other local and overseas artists...

The Documents

Our document collection includes personal diaries, letters, deeds and family papers dating to the early 1800s...

The weird and wonderful!

Interesting and seemingly out-of-place objects found in our collections from all over the world include Indian paintings, Chinese textiles and Roman shields...
