11 Worcester-on-Durban is situated directly opposite Diocesan School for Girls (DSG) on Worcester Street. It is 400m from St Andrew's College and a kilometer from the Rhodes University campus and the Peppergrove shopping and restaurant mall. Access to the guest rooms is on Durban Street but guests may use pedestrian access onto Worcester Street from their accommodation.

Secure off street parking is available. Accommodation consists of a styolish and comfortable cottage with a queen bedroom, which overlooks the garden and swimming pool, a separate bathroom and a living room/kitchen. The kitchen is fully including 4 ring gas stove, electric oven, full size fridge/freezer and microwave. There is a braii facility on the patio.

The Coombs View Reserve is a self-catering, eight bed stone and thatch lodge. This retreat is nestled in the Eastern Cape Valley Bushveld and teems with a variety of bird species and small game.

The lodge is easily accessible from N2, 20 minutes from Grahamstown towards East London. The Reserve posted 2kms from the access gate, from either direction, and is tucked away in the Coombs Valley approximately 1km from the gate. The lodge is easily accessible to ordinary saloon vehicles.

Coombs View is reasonably prices with rates starting from R225 per person per night and offers reduced rates for children.

The lodge is an ideal venue for weekend family getaways, corporate functions, weddings and private parties. Functions can be quoted for on a self-catering of full service basis.

Country Cousins - Arnecourt House offers a high-level of self-catering accommodation at realistic prices. The brand new split-level house is fully equipped and stylishly furnished to make you stay most pleasant. Enjoy our comfortable lounge and TV area or relax on the adjoining sunny deck with its terracotta tiles and wooden balustrade and lovely views out towards the East. The simple dining area just off the lounge is part and parcel the unusually designed kitchen with its cherrywood furnishings.

There are three well appointed comfortable bedrooms with wall to wall carpets. The main bedroom has a double-bed and the second bedroom with its 2-single beds, apart, both enjoy the front easterly view while the third bedroom is a smaller single room. Adjacent to the three bedroom is a single bathroom with a full walk-in glassed shower cubicle, bath with hand shower and normal facilities.

On the lower level is the north-facing sunny flatlet or bedsitter which can be sold separately or together with the main house as needs arise. With it's luxury double-bed and small dining area comes its fully fitted kitchenette with microwave and bar fridge. Just off the kitchenette is a full walk-in shower and toilet area.

TV 1,2,3 and ETV are available to guests in both units as is the security Hitec System. Burglar guards and security gates on opening doors enhance the security of the property. At this stage off-street parking is provided although the house is not fully security fenced.

An early 1800's style settler house will offer you a wonderful and relaxing stay from the hustle and bustle of the central city yet only 5km from the Cathedral to the Main Gate. We have a range of activities for your enjoyment like the use of the servoir shape swimmingpool, walks in the reserve amongst the animals, swims in any of the 3 farm damd, braai facilities, TV (only SABC and ETV at this stage). Use of the DVD Player and the provision for DVD Rentals, Free Internet, Huge selection of books for your reading pleasure, Pool table, Mountain. Biking in the Reserve, Game viewing or just simply relaxing under the huge old trees that surround the house. Bird viewing is an awesome experience here! You'll even meet our resident ducks and peacoks - and or farm cats.

Should you like, a trip to some of the best beaches in the Eastern Cape is only 55km  way. Give us a shout and we would be delighted to have you as our guests. As an "out of season" opening special the rate is R235.00 per person per night sharing Bed and Continetal Breakfast, per person. The accommodation, with its own private entrance, consists of one queen sized bed(room), with an adjoining twin bedroom with one private bathroom with bath only (no full shower). You should even be able to enjoy viewing some of the game from the bedroom window we have on the Nature Reserve. This is not a self-catering establishment, like our other properties, so a delicious Continental Breakfast on offer would normally be served in the farmhouse dining room. Directions

From the N2, take the Grahamstown (George Street) / Port Alfred turn off and turn towards Port Alfred, travel approximately 1km, around the curve and at the top of the hill, just before the next curve, you'll see the Fairewood Nature Reserve sign. The gate code will be given when booking. Enter and keep to the left, foolowing the dirt road - at the next fork keep left once again. At the bottom of the hill enter the second gate (same code) and park in the allocated parking. You'll be met on your arrival.

Country Cousins - Strelitzia House was built in 2006 and has since then proved itself a leading self-catering establishment in Grahamstown. With its exquisite face brick design coupled with its wooden upstairs floors, high pitched roof and quaint dormer windows gives the house a unique character. The house is fully equipped and comfortably furnished and can sleep a maximum of 6 guests. Rentals are available on a daily, weekly or monthly basis.

The house has tree bedrooms but the main bedroom must surely be the best available in Grahamstown based on its stylish design, its huge size with its full en-suite bathroom, private terrace with a marvellous view over Rhodes University and the Settlers Monument in the distance.

Two smaller but well apointed bedroom, with two single beds in each, make the house especially appealing to parents from our educational institutions visiting their children and having them stay over in a private home-from-home environment. The bathroom downstairs has a bath with a glass enclosure where you an close off the whole bath and be completely private! Both bathrooms have showers.

A seperate flat is now part of the original Strelitzia House. It comprises of a twin bedroom (two single  beds) with a private lounge, fully fitted kitchenette with basic appliances and a private bathroom with a walk in shower, toilet and basin. The flatlet can be rented as part of the main house or as a seperate entity.

The house has an upstairs TV lounge closed off on the inner side with a simple baniter where you can peer down to the stylishly well equipped and fully fitted kitchen. A DSTV system is in place, for those persons who would like to just bring their own smart card The unique style dining room has double doors leading out onto the beautiful patio with its magnificent view. A Braai (Barbeque) facility is supplied for those seeking to have a quite braai at their home-from-home.

Notes
The house has a large garden where bird life is encouraged to visit and peace and tranquility is assured. Pets are not permitted at Country Cousins. The house is normally not services, although this can be arranged at an additional charge and includes morning bedmaking and cleaning of bedrooms and bathrooms etc. Should one stay for a longer period, the house is automatically serviced every 4th day.

Thomas Baines Nature Reserve is situated in the Makana District. The Reserve in named after the famous 19th Century artist who left a valuable record of the rich diversity of fauna and flora in the region, including the now-exciting quagga. There are also numerous signs of the hunter-gatherer and later Nguni communities that once inhabitated the region. The reserve baosts an impressive herd of 45 Cape Buffalo as well as "Tom", one of the oldest white rhino's in Southern Africa. A total of 25 reptiles and 53 mammals have been recorded.

Besides the buffalo and white rhino, numerous antelope - including eland, red hartebeest, bushbuck and kudu - as well as small mammals such as vervet monkeys and genets, can be seen in the reserve. 175 Species of birds have been recorded. Picnic sites with braai facilities and toilets are provided at Settlers Dam where one can also go boating and fish for black bass. Overnight accommodation only for school groups at the Environmental Education Centre is available.

Established in 1947. Wylie's Dairy is the oldest producer/distributor dairy in South Africa. Upper Gletwyn was the original home of the Rubidge Family. The farm belonged to the Jolly Family and later the Duffield Family.

Our main business is Wylie's dairy, which means that visitors stay on a working farm, only 12kms or 10 mins from Grahamstown on the N2 highway between Grahamstown and King William's Town. In the area we are renowned for our top quality yoghurt which contains no preservatives.

We are ideally situated for guests attending the National Arts Festival as the N2 takes one straight to the Settler's Monument where numerous events take palce. This prevents one from becoming frustrated with Grahamstown's one minute traffic jams!

The farm has a fully equipped, self-catering cottage which sleeps 4-5 people. Hostess trays are available.
